Don Longo is Editorial Director of Convenience Store News. Don has covered retailing for nearly 40 years as a reporter, editor and publisher. Under Don’s leadership, Convenience Store News has won numerous awards for editorial excellence, including recent National awards from the American Society of Business Press Editors and Folio:magazine, as well as being a two-time winner of the coveted Jesse Neal Award for Best Issue of the Year.

Previously, he spearheaded the editorial efforts at a variety of business publications covering the mass, drug, grocery, and specialty store retailing. He has given presentations to business groups throughout the U.S., Europe and South America and has appeared as a guest on the Fox Business News cable TV and National Public Radio. Some of the noteworthy business leaders Don has interviewed include the late Sam Walton, businesswoman Martha Stewart, Mexican President Vicente Fox, Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank of The Home Depot, restaurateurs Danny Meyer and Rick Bayless, Whole Foods CEO Walter Robb, Trader Joe’s President Doug Rauch, and 7-Eleven CEO Joe DePinto.
